Emily Bauman has been a strong advocate of the art from her first hand print at 4 (that she still has), to playing Susanna Gooch in Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn, Miss Brill in Cheaper by the Dozen and Veta Louise in Harvey, to her photography being selected for a special exhibit, many paintings and drawing and taking fine arts classes in college. Emily grew up in a home where her mother sang in an Oratorio for several years, classical music regularly played on the phonograph, and visiting art galleries was regularly on the schedule. As co-owner of a landscape and design firm in Colorado, Emily blended her art and design aspirations by creating beautiful, award-winning and environmentally friendly landscape designs.
Emily currently serves as City Councilwoman for the City of Westland in 2023, and in her commitment to leave a positive impact, created the community art project, Nankin Flight of Eagles to raise money to support and inspire more art in Westland. According to MML.org, arts and culture is one of the main pillars of a thriving community. This one pillar has been shown to encourage business investment, and raise the levels of physical and mental health of the community. Westland Arts Foundation was created to support the project and to be a catalyst for change in Westland, building and strengthening the arts and culture pillar.

Megan is someone who values creativity and how it can better the people around her. She has been doing various forms of art throughout her entire life, including music, writing, and drawing. During her time at Schoolcraft, Megan has made costumes for multiple plays, and is very proud that her work was being used to tell a story. Megan has participated in numerous service activities, though her favorite is holding the title as "Director of Marketing" for her non-profit and capstone partner The Westland Arts Foundation. She hopes to use her time with the organization to better the art scene in Westland to promote a sense of togetherness as well as to promote mental health advocation through art as a coping mechanism. Though she isn't quite sure where life will lead her, Megan hopes to use what she's learned both from her classes as well as the people she's met to share her love of anything creative to help others discover their own joy through art.
